"Dirty Laundry"
- A PDF version of Dirty Laundry, considered the Klance fic to read by the Voltron fandom. It's kind of hard to explain how inescapably huge the fic was in the early VLD fandom without being there, but it was once in the top 10 most kudos'ed fics on AO3 of all time. It is also what led to the fandom association between Lance and "Gasolina" by Daddy Yankee. It was deleted due to controversy, which is summarized by this post on r/HobbyDrama. (Archive.org doesn't work with Reddit anymore, so, just in case, we have our own mirror of the text.)
Klance Fic Drive
- As put together by @Emotexastoast on Twitter, this is a Google Drive of Klance fics downloaded from AO3 with the purposes of preservation. This includes works which are now deleted.
"for him."
- A song by Troye Sivan which is largely considered to be the Klance song. Includes lyrics such as, "We make a really good team", and "Forget all the shooting stars and all the silver moons / We've been making shades of purple out of red and blue".
"Klance - Bitter and the Sweetness [+Bubblehun]"
- This was my (Scarlet's) favorite Klance edit back in the day! An archive.org mirror is available here.
The Voltron fandom iceberg
- As created by tumblr user @seventhwheel, an iceberg chart is used to demonstrate knowledge of a particular topic. The tip of the iceberg is the knowledge that most people with even a passing knowledge know, and, the further down it goes, the more obscure the knowledge becomes. The topic for this iceberg is, of course, Voltron fandom history. We also have reuploaded the image to our site, in case that link becomes unavailable.
- (Note, since this is my pet peeve in Voltron fandom archeology: the glass cupcake incident never happened. It was a rumor that cropped up only after the show ended and seems to have been largely inspired by the needle cookie incident of the Undertale fandom. Even the needle cookie incident, itself, is usually retold wrong, as the perp has no known motive. Whether or not the perpetrator of the act was an Undertale fan, and whether or not the artist effected was the specific target (or just happened to be who the perp came across) are also all unknown.)
"Voltron Partners Not Responsible for Failures in Gay Inclusion; Sources Dispute Claim From DreamWorks Staff"
- An article about how Lauren Montgomery and Joaquim Dos Santos explicitly lied to the press about their involvement in the failure of Voltron. It confirms that they were singlehandedly responsible for the homophobic writing, and that they went out of their way to ignore the comments of both their hired sensitivity consultants and queer employees.
